Then and Now

Kenny played in two Southern California boy bands: Bill Destro & The Destinys, and his own band, The Phantoms — "The World's Only Masked Band."

A year later, in 1959, he joined another boy band, The Ramrods, and played shows in Tucson, Arizona with Ray Petersen ("Tell Laura I Love Her"), The Coasters ("Yakety Yak," "Charlie Brown"), and Curtis Lee ("Pretty Little Angel Eyes"), before taking the act to Las Vegas for the summer of 1960.

49-cent breakfasts, 99-cent buffets, and amazing lounge acts were king in Las Vegas when 17-year-old Kenny began working the Nevada stages alongside great stars like Louis Prima, Don Rickles, and his friend Wayne Newton.

Through the years, Kenny packed a lifetime of experience with his band and as a single performer in countless night clubs and concert stages across the United States, Canada, Europe, the Bahama Islands, and the Middle East.

During those days, besides being a favored lounge act in over sixty-five Nevada venues, Kenny appeared as a Nevada Main Room opening act, a stand-up comedian, a headliner on cruise ships, and even a cruise director.

For the next thirty years, he and his wife owned and operated Aladdin Productions, a successful video production company in Las Vegas.

At his surprise birthday party in 2022, after a 30-year intermission, Kenny came back — again doing what he loves, bringing songs and memories to his dozens of audiences at retirement and assisted living centers throughout the Las Vegas Valley, Southern Utah, Arizona, and California.

Today, Kenny creates engaging shows designed for the senior audience. Every performance is more than simply playing music. It is about creating an experience, sparking memories, and bringing people together.

On a few occasions since his return, Kenny has taken his shows to private parties and community concert functions.
